Benny Gold x JanSport x Pendleton Woolen Mills
This three-way collaboration brought together JanSport’s heritage, Pendleton’s craftsmanship, and the creative spirit of the Benny Gold brand. I designed a custom wool pattern featuring hidden paper planes, woven by Pendleton in Oregon using traditional techniques.
The collection featured a range of JanSport silhouettes—designed from scratch to fit a modern, creative lifestyle—and included a matching custom Pendleton blanket. Demand was so strong that we produced exclusive versions for major retailers like Zumiez, PacSun, and Karmaloop, extending the reach of the collaboration while staying true to the story and craft behind it.
When Design Takes
on a Life of Its Own
The bags and apparel sold out as soon as they hit shelves, and demand only grew from there. The custom Pendleton pattern I designed took on a life of its own, showing up in everything from hand-painted nail art and laser-etched phone cases to tattoos and even taxidermy deer heads wrapped in the fabric. Fans took the design and made it personal, turning it into a piece of creative culture.
